Manage your emotions

Anger, sadness, fear, shame, pain and hurt seem to be the most important emotions involved in therapeutic change. You may have bottled up these negative emotions because of fear of disapproval. With my support and encouragement in a safe therapeutic environment, you will feel gently encouraged and supported to express these emotions openly, and learn how to deal with them differently.

Be your true-self

Gradually become your authentic self. Through exploration, you will clarify what really matters to you, who and what you value, your beliefs and how they may unconsciously cause you to behave and think in unhelpful ways.

Familiarize yourself with the hopes and needs that may have been previously bypassed, and how you might go about satisfying them now.

Take time for yourself

One hour, weekly or fortnightly of ‘me time’, without feeling self-indulgent or judged, where you can feel genuinely listened to and accepted, yet professionally supported, and guided. This may include being gently challenged at times, helping you to focus on how you can change negative life patterns.
